Staveley Works

At about 180ha, the former Staveley Works represents one of the biggest regeneration opportunities within Chesterfield Borough and the wider Northern Derbyshire sub-region.  Working on behalf of the Chatsworth Settlement Trustees, Planning and Design Group are co-ordinating the preparation of an application for the first phase of mixed use redevelopment.  This follows securing its designation as the only strategic allocation within the Chesterfield Core Strategy.  The site has been identified for a High Speed 2 Maintenance Depot along with around 1,500 dwellings, employment space, retail and community facilities.

P&DG also provides planning support to the Chatsworth Settlement Trustees on other sites including:
